For the past few years Nueske’s is proud to have been invited to display a special ornament on the decorated holiday trees in front of the Wisconsin governor’s residence. This year there are six different trees representing six areas important to our state. The 2010 ornament from Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats is hung on the “Tree of Tomorrow”, which is an environmentally- and agriculturally-themed tree.
We were very pleased to be asked to participate again this year and, of course, took the time to decorate our ornament in a very fitting manner: wrapped with bacon. The shiny red bacon-wrapped bauble was decorated with painted sliced of bacon and not the real thing.
Tours of this year’s trees along with other festivities at the governor’s mansion are available until December 18th, 2010. Please contact vicki.heymann@wisconsin.gov for tour information or click here to see the tour schedule.

Hi Linda, that was a custom hand-made ornament created by one of our employees. Thanks for being interested!
