The Nueske family has had their smokehouse and meat shop in Wittenberg, Wisconsin since 1933.  The building that Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats is in today isn’t our original building, but you can still see our original smokehouse – along with a few other really nifty old buildings from our past – standing out in front of our company store in the village of Wittenberg.

People from around the country stop in and visit us every day.  Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats Company Store holds all kinds of edible treasures and many people make us an important stop in their travels.  We have all of our famous applewood smoked meats available at the store – fresh from the smokehouse.  You’ll find our applewood smoked bacons, hams, sausages, and poultry, plus a few other Nueske’s items that you would be hard-pressed to find anywhere else.  We also keep a wide range of Wisconsin cheeses in our cooler, all manner of surprising gourmet and European-style dry goods (things like spaetzle, stuffed olives, and fine preserves), and a variety of unique candies and sweets.

At our company store we can create custom gifts from whatever items you like best and we can ship your packages anywhere in the U.S.  If you are ever in Northern Wisconsin, take the time to make a stop at Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats.  We’ll even let you try a free sample of our old-fashioned buttermilk!
